EarthWalk-Fairbanks time-line:

December 2022

John and Barbara Matsinger conserved, tended and donated a 500 acre pristine old growth forest in Danville Vermont to the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium. The Matsinger's  vision is to ensure it remains WILD, through conservation education and research.

October 2023

Adam Kane, a former EarthWalk parent and Executive Director of the Fairbanks Museum invited Ange Gibbons to conduct a feasibility study and write a proposal to envision and create EarthWalk Programming in Matsinger Forest!

January 2024

With generous funding from the Frances Block Foundation and the Dorr Foundation, Ange was hired by the Fairbanks Museum, as a consultant, to implement a 3-5 year plan to grow EarthWalk-Fairbanks programming in Matsinger Forest.

A programming site was created with a shelter and seating area, and now EarthWalk-Fairbanks is offering: Summer Camps, a weekly Forest School and Monthly Adult programs!
